About Us

I'm Thom Foll, Creative Director and Owner of Jasmine Design Group. The name Jasmine Design Group came from a class assignment at Gateway Technical College where I was retraining as a graphic designer after working 20+ years as a mechanical engineer. I didn’t know why I liked that name. It wasn’t until weeks later that I realized that JASMINE stood for something. ‘JAS’ for Jane, Anna, and Sarah, my wife and two daughters and ‘MINE’ they are mine and are my inspiration and part of the ‘GROUP’.
Beginnings

I am a mountain man. I love the mountains! I have done a lot of backpacking, mountain biking, back-country skiing, mountaineering, and rock climbing in the Sierra Nevada mountains. This self portrait was done around 2002 when I was in school for graphic design.
I have always enjoyed art. My parents paid for my first art lessons when I was 6 years old. Drawing and painting in oils and watercolor was where I excelled. But I didn’t think I could make a living with art, so I became an engineer. The Y2K recession found me laid off from a generator company. So I went back to school with the displaced worker program. When I graduated, I started my own business. Now I am in my tenth year! Our family has lived in Whitewater, Wisconsin since 1999.
